TERMS OF SERVICE
Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 25, 2026
These Terms of Service apply to services provided by AHVEE Plumbing and Drain Cleaning Inc. (“AHVEE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting service, approving an estimate, or authorizing work, the customer agrees to the applicable terms below together with the specific scope, pricing, and conditions stated in the approved estimate or service agreement.
Estimates and Authorization
Estimates are based on the information and conditions reasonably available at the time they are prepared. Work outside the approved scope requires customer authorization and may result in additional charges.
Submitting a service request, requesting a preferred date or time, or communicating with AHVEE does not by itself confirm an appointment. Scheduling is confirmed separately by AHVEE.
Scope of Work and Unforeseen Conditions
AHVEE is responsible only for the work specifically described and authorized. Existing, concealed, damaged, deteriorated, improperly installed, or non-code-compliant conditions may not be discoverable until work begins.
If additional work becomes necessary because of concealed or unforeseen conditions, AHVEE will notify the customer and obtain authorization before performing additional billable work whenever reasonably practicable.
Unless specifically included in writing, plumbing work does not include unrelated structural repair, drywall, painting, tile, cabinetry, flooring, landscaping, or other finish restoration.
Pricing and Payment
Pricing and payment terms are stated on the applicable estimate, invoice, or service agreement. Additional authorized work may be billed separately.
Applicable sales tax will be charged where required. Qualifying capital-improvement work may receive different tax treatment when appropriate documentation is provided.
Payment is due according to the terms stated on the applicable invoice or agreement.
Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing reasonable access to the work area and informing AHVEE of known conditions that could affect the work.
The customer is responsible for securing or removing personal property from the immediate work area when necessary and for ensuring that an authorized adult is available when required.
Permits and Inspections
Permits and inspections will be handled only when specifically included in the agreed scope of work. Additional permit, inspection, engineering, licensing, or supervisory requirements discovered after work begins may require additional authorization and charges.
Workmanship Warranty
AHVEE Plumbing & Drain Cleaning stands behind the quality of our work. Unless otherwise stated in the estimate or service description, qualifying installation and repair workmanship is warranted for one (1) year from the date the work is completed.
This warranty applies only to the specific work performed by AHVEE. It does not cover pre-existing conditions, existing or concealed piping or components, unrelated failures, normal wear, freezing, misuse, neglect, damage, or work altered or repaired by others.
Customer-supplied fixtures, equipment, and materials are not warranted by AHVEE; however, our installation workmanship remains covered where applicable. Manufacturer warranties on parts or equipment supplied by AHVEE remain subject to the manufacturer's terms.
Certain services, including drain clearing, diagnostics, temporary repairs, and services specifically identified on an estimate or invoice, may have different or limited warranty terms. Any service-specific warranty stated on the approved estimate takes precedence.
Customer-Supplied Materials
AHVEE is not responsible for defects, incompatibility, missing components, manufacturer failures, or other problems with customer-supplied materials, fixtures, or equipment. Additional labor required because of such issues may result in additional charges.
Changes and Additional Work
Changes to an approved scope should be documented and authorized. Additional labor, materials, equipment, permits, or other costs resulting from customer-requested changes or unforeseen conditions may require a revised estimate or change order.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should notify AHVEE as soon as reasonably possible when an appointment must be cancelled or rescheduled.
Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation right provided to a consumer by applicable law. Where New York law requires a specific notice or cancellation period for a home-improvement contract, the applicable contract and required notice will govern.
Communications
By providing a telephone number or email address, the customer authorizes AHVEE to communicate regarding service requests, appointments, estimates, jobs, invoices, payments, and reasonable service follow-up.
Automated or AI-assisted systems may be used to assist with call handling, messaging, scheduling requests, or customer-service intake. Providing a requested date or time does not guarantee an appointment until confirmed by AHVEE.
Existing Systems and Related Property
Plumbing and heating systems may contain aging, deteriorated, concealed, or previously altered components. AHVEE is not responsible for failures or damage involving portions of a system that were not part of the authorized work unless caused directly by AHVEE's workmanship.
Limitation of Scope
AHVEE's responsibility is limited to the services specifically authorized and performed. Nothing in these Terms expands the agreed scope of an estimate, work order, or service agreement.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
